When you have enabled templates then, set up a template for use as the automatic reply. You have to click on Compose in Gmail and compose the template which you want to use for automatic replies

Now, set the automatic reply dates and check the Last day box and enter the last day which you have to send automatic replies. Skip this step if you have to manually disable automatic replies when you go back to the office

You also have the facility to tap on the slider that will be next to the Send only to my Gmail Contacts and it will make Gmail capable to send out of office replies to the contacts. You can skip this if you wish to send a vacation response to anyone. If you are using a Gmail account from the school or company then, you will have the option to send the automatic reply only to people there.
